Greetings and welcome to a new school year! Our site is designed to aid in your study of the world's history by placing a plethora of resources at your fingertips. Explore units, watch videos, download study guides, or study with games- it's all here to enhance your learning experience, as you travel the road to mastery. Remember: the degree of your success reflects the depth of your readiness.
In order to attain a thorough understanding and develop analytical skills in world history, we will master the following during the school year:
In World History, we will explore the foundations of our humanity through the stories of the men and women who have lived before us. As the great Roman statesman Marcus Cicero once said, "To be ignorant of what occurred before you were born is to remain always a child."
Let us grow together!

Professor Johnston often said that if you didn't know history, you didn't know anything. You were a leaf that didn't know it was part of a tree. ~Michael Crichton, Timeline
History is a kind of introduction to more interesting people than we can possibly meet in our restricted lives; let us not neglect the opportunity. ~Dexter Perkins
Each time history repeats itself, the price goes up. ~Author Unknown
This class is structured to foster and to cultivate both individual and collaborative group achievement. We will be going beyond simple memorization and recall of historical facts, as we interpret, analyze, and explain our world.
To reach these goals, we'll use various methods: (1) group projects, (2) interactive simulations, (3) guided reading notes, (4) short essays, (5) oral and visual technology-based presentations, (6) interactive notebooks, and (7) debates. Through this, we will build on your academic strengths and eliminate weaknesses while fostering a global view of your unique place in the human story.

You asked me to do it.
I promised to do it.
I planned to do it.
I started to do it.
I really meant to do it. Except I forgot. Couldn't I get some credit?
For promising, planning, starting,
And really meaning to do it?
